South Africa Releases U.S.$15 Million Arms Money to Nigeria

South African has released $15 million meant for the purchase arms to the Nigerian government after some political and diplomatic arrangements.
The money was confiscated in 2014.
According to PR Nigeria, a security news medium, the money has been released. The agency was quoted at the weekend, saying the money was released as a result of some legal and diplomatic processes initiated by the former national security adviser, which "ensured that cash seized by the South African government during the cash-for-arms saga last year have been fully recovered by Nigeria".
PR Nigeria added that, "President Goodluck Jonathan's administration was forced to resort to the alternative market to obtain arms when Western powers blocked every access to the formal arms market but the cash was seized both at the airport and in the bank".
