This morning, a man climbed an electric pole at Adebisi Ogunniyi
Crescent, Lekki Phase 1, Lagos State, in a bid to kill himself because
he had no money.
According to Twitter user Ken Egbas who posted the pictures, police officers from the Maroko Division, Lekki, Lagos, later arrived the scene to stop him.
Residents called Lagos fire service, they said it’s not their job. They advised to call the Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN). PHCN also said they should call police.
The police reported left the scene after unsuccessful rescue effort, leaving him to continue with his suicide mission.
Residents later rolled out trampoline to rescue the man after several hours
