The candidate for the Plateau South Senatorial District, Simon Lalong, the governor of Plateau State and director general of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), has lost the race in the National Assembly elections held on Saturday, Rtd AVM Bali Ninkap Napoleon of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) defeated him.
The Returning Officer Professor Meshak Goyit announced the results, stating that Tobias Nda of the Labour Party received 17,325 votes, while Bali Napoleon of the PDP received a total of 148,844 votes to defeat Governor Lalong of the APC with 91,674 votes.
