Atiku, Obi urged by APC to adopt Jonathan's strategy of accepting defeat on February 28, 2023

The All Progressives Congress Campaign Council has urged the losing presidential candidates from the Labour Party and People's Democratic Party, Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar, to call and congratulate Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the party's nominee. At a global press conference held in Abuja to address requests for the Independent National Electoral Commission results to cancel the election, the PCC Special Adviser on Media and Strategic Communications, Dele Alake, made the accusation.

In addition, Tinubu warned the PDP and the LP against trying to call off the poll, comparing it to a pregnancy that cannot be terminated once it has reached full term.

The APC candidate further charged that by calling for the annulment of election results in various regions of the nation, former President Olusegun Obasanjo was aiming to stifle democracy in the country.
