In the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, Peter Obi, the Labour Party's presidential candidate, has been declared the victor.
Bola Tinubu of the ruling APC received 90,902 votes, Atiku Abubakar of the PDP received 74,199 votes, and Mr. Obi, a former governor of Anambra State, received 281,717 votes.
With 19,0815 votes, the Labour Party candidate defeated his closest rival.In Abuja, there were 478,923 registered voters, which means Mr. Obi received nearly 59% of the votes cast. In the Nigerian capital, neither Mr. Tinubu (19%) nor Atiku (15%) received more than 25% of the vote.
There are six area councils in the Federal Capital Territory: Gwagwalada, Abaji, Kwali, Gwagwalada, Bwari, and Abuja Municipal.
The Labour Party won four of the six area councils, while the APC took home two.Obi's biggest win came in Abuja Municipal (AMAC), where he won with more than 70% of the vote and more than 140,000 more votes than his nearest rival.
Atiku Abubakar of the PDP received 26,407 votes, while Bola Tinubu of the APC received 29,596 votes in AMAC. The LP candidate won with 170,392 votes.
