In Lagos, where Tinubu has a significant amount of political control and influence, a total of 1,347,152 people were accredited to vote.
In Lagos, Nigeria's most populous state, Peter Obi of the Labour Party has been proclaimed the victor of the presidential election. In order to defeat Bola Tinubu of the APC, who received 572, 606 votes, Mr. Obi received 582,454 votes.
PDP candidate Atiku Abubakar finished third with 75,750 votes. Even though Mr. Tinubu's APC won in 11 of Lagos' 20 local governments, Mr. Obi received more votes overall and did well in the other nine local governments as well.

Obi
Mr. Obi, a former governor of Anambra State in southeast Nigeria, earned a tremendous amount of support from voters, particularly in areas with a high concentration of non-Yoruba speakers.
However, the opposition to the Muslim-Muslim APC presidential ticket was viewed by many as "evil, careless, and insensitive," which resulted in what some leaders of the party called protest votes.
Kosofe, Eti-Osa, Ojo, Amuwo-Odofin, Somolu, Ikeja, Ajeromi-Ifelodun, Alimosho, and Oshodi-Isolo are the local government areas that Mr. Obi won.
Tinubu
Mr. Tinubu, the APC candidate, prevailed in 11 local government areas of the state, but he received less votes overall than Mr. Obi by fewer than 10,000.
Lagos Island, Ibeju-Lekki, Apapa, Lagos Mainland, Ifako-Ijaiye, Ikorodu, Epe, Badagry, Agege, Mushin, and Surulere are the local government areas Tinubu won.
In addition, Mr. Tinubu was defeated by Mr. Obi in the local government of Ikeja, where he cast his ballot on Saturday. Mr. Obi received 30,004 votes, while Mr. Tinubu received 21,276.
Additionally, Mr. Obi won Alimosho, the local government in the state with the highest voter turnout. The local government area had historically served as a significant defense for the ruling party, so many people were shocked by the election results in 2023. According to the local government's results, there were 158,209 votes cast in total by the parties, 147,870 of which were valid, and 10,339 of which were invalid. Mr. Obi received 71,327 votes, while Mr. Tinubu received 62,909 votes. PDP candidate Atiku received 8,201 votes.
