2023 Governorship Election: Lawan votes, boasts APC will win in 28 states

 Senate Speaker Ahmad Lawan said his party, the ruling All Progressive Party, would win in more than 28 states after voting on Saturday.



Lawan made a statement in response to questions from journalists in the Katsuz district constituency of Bade city, Yobe state, and voted in the gubernatorial and state legislative elections.


The APC now controls 21 of the 36 states, and in the last presidential election he won 12 states.


Rawan said the APC and the government of President Muhammadu Buhari and the Ninth National Assembly deserve credit for the improvements observed in the country's electoral process.


“We control the parliament,” Lawan said. we were elected president. At the end of this election, we will win at least 28 states. "


“The APC and the government of President Muhammadu Buhari deserve credit for allowing the process to be fully governed by INEC policies and regulations.


"Don't use the tenure factor to prevent other parties or opposition parties from winning in areas that are strong APC enclaves," he said.


He added:


“I think there is still room for improvement, but I applaud the 9th National Assembly for creating an electoral law that gives technology a greater role in determining and influencing the outcome of elections rather than some kind of fraud. To do."


Commenting on the outcome of the election, the Senate President said: "I am pleased that BVAS is active here. I have yet to hear any reports of the process failing anywhere in my local government. "
