Boy shoots three-year-old playmate in Ogun State

Semiu Adegesin, 45, was detained by Ogun State Police Command officers in connection with the death of Esther Samuel, a three-year-old girl. Adegesin was detained for what authorities deemed to be contributing negligence that resulted in the death of the child.

According to reports, the suspect, who was in possession of a dane gun, had left it loaded in an open area of his backyard where kids played. Babalola, a 13-year-old boy, is accused of picking up the gun, aiming it at the girl, and firing it.

The suspect was detained as a result of a report at the Imasayi police divisional headquarters, according to DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, the state police public relations officer. According to the report, Babalola used a dane gun to shoot and kill the victim in Kukudi village, Imasayi. "The deceased was found in a pool of blood when I got to the scene of the incident," Oyeyemi said.

"Preliminary investigations revealed that Danish gun owner Semiu Adegesin had loaded the gun and left it carelessly in an open area in the backyard of the house where the children were playing. At this point, 13-year-old Babalola picked up a loaded gun and fired it at the deceased. "Dane's gun owner was immediately arrested and taken to the police station for questioning." He said he was sympathetic to the family of the deceased. Mba also asked for silence and said the incident was being properly investigated. "The death of young Esther Samuel was an unfortunate event and we extend our deepest condolences to her family. "We ask the public to remain calm while we conduct a thorough and careful investigation," Mba was quoted as saying. I'm here.
