Onyebuchi Ezeh, a domestic helper, has severed a 72-year-old woman's genitalia and other body parts in an effort to use them in a ritualistic exchange of money.
On Thursday, the incident took place in Umunze, Orumba North Local Government Area, in the state of Anambra. According to information obtained, the victim was saved by neighbors, who then took her to the hospital after she called for help.The suspect, who was later apprehended, admitted that he and some other suspects were acting under the direction of a native doctor who had instructed them to commit the crime and promised to make them wealthy if they brought the necessary organs.
This was revealed to the media on Sunday by Miss Chidinma Ikeanyionwu, the commissioner for women's affairs and social welfare. The commissioner, Mrs. Ify Obinabo, had visited the victim at the Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital in Amaku Awka, according to Ikeanyionwu. "The incident was discovered after the survivor raised the alarm on Thursday," said Ikeanyionwu. Her genital organs, including her nipple, ear, fingers, and other parts, were severed when one of her employees and two other men stampeded her inside her home. "The criminal, Onyebuchi Ezeh, who was later apprehended, admitted that they had been sent by a native doctor to obtain the 72-year-old woman's necessary organs in order to become billionaires. The suspect is from the Ebonyi State town of Abakaliki, and he frequently assists the victim in cutting palm trees. According to the native doctor's assurances, he is reported to have stated that they committed the act in order to become wealthy.
Additionally, she claimed that the commissioner expressed sadness over the development while assuring the victim that other people connected to the crime would also be found and prosecuted. She claims that the suspect is currently detained at the Anambra State Police Command's State Criminal Investigative Department in Awka and will be soon arraigned before the Children and Gender Based Violence Magistrate Court in Awka.
