About his partnership, Amadi said: He's probably one of the most upbeat songs he's ever made. I met Zinoleesky's manager at a song camp in the Republic of Benin and played her the track. A few months later, Ginolyski dropped his verse in fast-forward, and the video called me to dance to it.
Amadi delves deep into the meaning of the song. In Nigerian slang, "lock up" loosely translates to "shut up", so when you tell a girl you like her, you take a strong stance and are willing to tip off anyone who might interfere with the relationship.
