A woman in Mexico died after undergoing liposuction after self-anesthesia.
Karina, 30, reportedly died at a clinic called Clinica Her Amper, a facility in south-central Mexico where she worked as a nurse.
According to Carina's employer and clinic owner, Dr. Roland Thumper Mendoza, the victim, performed the surgery "without his permission and consent" during his absence.
“One of my sisters named Carina decided to do herself abdominal liposuction with local anesthesia. and died," he said. After being found unconscious by a colleague, Carina's official cause of death was given as cardiopulmonary arrest.
