Prior to the state's March 11 governorship election, Hunkuyi also warned against what he called a "dire political miscarriage" while speaking to reporters in Kaduna on Saturday. The NNPP governorship candidate claims that one of these matters includes the pre-election case that is still pending in court and may declare the PDP ineligible to participate in the election as well as the post-election cases that the APC is prepared to file against the PDP.
The former lawmaker who represented the Northern Kaduna senatorial district criticized the alleged use of money politics by the state's ruling party in the upcoming election. He claimed that this was "an intended onslaught" against democracy in the state, in addition to being an anti-people and anti-democratic norm.
