Oscar 2023: Main category nominees

 The Academy Awards, commonly known as the Oscars, are held on Sunday at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles, USA.



Winners in various categories receive copies of gold statues known as trophies. This is officially called the Academy Award for Lifetime Achievement.


However, many people refer to the Academy Award for Lifetime Achievement statuette by the nickname "Oscar".

This statuette depicts a knight in the Art Deco style and was originally sculpted by Los Angeles artist George Stanley, from a design by his director of art, Cedric Gibbons, from his sketches.


In this year's edition, the multiverse sci-fi hit Everything Everywhere All At Once received his 11 nominations, along with Irish Dark for his comedy Banshees of Inishelin and the World War II film Serenity on the Western Front. '' was his nine nominations.
