Three people were killed and two injured when a truck lost control at a toll booth area on the Lagos-Abeokuta highway.
Ahmed Umar, commander of his sector in Ogun, the Federal Traffic Safety Force, confirmed the incident to the Nigerian Press Agency in Ota, Ogun state on Tuesday.

He said a truck loaded with bags of cement was traveling on the Abeokuta-Lagos highway when it lost control due to brake failure and crashed into two cars and his two Bajaj motorcycles. rice field.
According to him, the dead are either traders or people waiting for the bus. "Three people were killed in the accident, two others were injured to varying degrees and one was uninjured.
"The corpses were dumped in the morgue at General Hospital Ifo, and the injured are being treated at Ota General Hospital," he said.
The sector commander blamed excessive speed for the accident.
Umar advised motorists to always refrain from excessive speed and ensure their vehicles were in good condition before putting them on the road to avoid avoidable accidents.
