“Recall that the above order of the INEC Presidential Court of Petitions was duly served on March 3, 2023, although they were present and represented in court when the order was issued.

“Despite the aforementioned orders being served on the INEC and a demand letter dated 6 March 2023 served on the same day to the INEC headquarters in Abuja, the returning officers have, to date, been unable to effectively serve on this scale. Ignored and/or disobeyed orders," said Tanko.

An appeals court held in Abuja on March 3 reportedly granted the demands of National Democratic Party presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar and his LP counterpart. .

Atiku and Obi contacted the Presidential Election Court and asked permission to view election materials used during the election.

Both the PDP and LP, among other things, rejected the election results due to alleged voter manipulation and intimidation.

Tanko said in a further reply:

“As we speak, INEC has decided to follow a court order given to them to reconfigure the BIVAS machine they are doing, and to inspect election materials.

“Therefore, we urge the public to heed the level of lawlessness and brazen disobedience to legitimate court orders by major statutory authorities such as INEC.” A petition to the court by the Labor Party and its presidential candidate:
