APC campaign council: #NigeriaDecides2023: PDP, LP seek court order to thwart democracy and throw Nigeria into anarchy

The Peoples Democratic Party and the Labour Party, the two major opposition parties, have been charged with trying to use the court system to halt the ongoing results collation, according to the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council.

The campaign claimed that the Electoral Act forbade the court from halting the conduct of elections in Nigeria in a statement released on Monday by Festus Keyamo, the PCC's director of public affairs. According to him, it is against section 84 (15) of the Electoral Act, which forbids the granting of injunctions to prevent the holding of elections, for the aggrieved parties to use the court to halt the electoral process.
disagreement over results being uploaded to IReV The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) must upload the results to the election result viewing portal (IRev), according to the PDP and LP, who both oppose the results collation process that is currently taking place at the National Collation Centre. Earlier on Monday, while the results were being tallied, representatives from the two parties and a few other political parties left the center in protest.

Mr. Melaye had made an attempt to obstruct the Ekiti State REC and collation officer from presenting the results, insisting that the commission upload the results to IReV and make them available for public viewing as the states' collation officers and RECs did so.

Mr. Keyamo claimed in the statement that the parties are attempting to use the court to nullify the results of the presidential election held on Saturday.
