Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, has a sizable lead as the collation of presidential election results comes to a close in 12 of Adamawa State's 21 local government areas on Sunday evening.

Lamurde, Gerei, Shelleng, Guyuk, Toungo, Ganye, Mayo-Belwa, Song, Demsa, Fufore, and Yola South saw victories for the PDP. Peter Obi of LP won in Numan in the meantime. The PDP has received a total of 213,117 votes in the former vice president's home state of Adamawa, followed by the All Progressives Congress (APC) with 99,898, the Labour Party (LP) with 56,857, and the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) with 3,609.
