The integrity of the collation and announcement process at the national collation center in Abuja was questioned by the opposition party.
The Labour Party, one of Nigeria's major opposition parties in the 2023 elections, has objected to the way the results of the presidential election are currently being tallied and announced in Abuja.
On Monday, the party claimed that it was taking these actions because INEC did not post all of the results from polling places on its iREV server.
The integrity of the collation and announcement process at the national collation center in Abuja was thus questioned by the opposition party.

On its result viewing portal (IRev), INEC acknowledged on Sunday that polling unit results were being uploaded slowly. The commission claimed that technical snags are to blame for the issue.
In such circumstances, errors do occasionally occur and need to be fixed, according to a statement from INEC. However, it reassures Nigerians that the difficulties are not the result of any hacking or system sabotage and that the IReV is still well-secured. Some political parties, such as the PDP, have voiced their displeasure over the delay in uploading the presidential election results to the election results viewing portal (IRev), insisting that the collation process will not move forward until that is done.
Additionally, they asserted that the results of the states of Ekiti and Kwara, as reported by their collation officers and Resident Electoral Commissioners, contain instances of overvoting. NRM and APC, among other parties, urged INEC to disregard this request. However, Mahmood Yakubu, the chairman of INEC, insisted that cases of excessive voting should have been reported at the state collation centers, the registration areas, the local government collation, or their polling units during the counting process. He claimed that each of the three levels has a representative from each party. Although the commission has the authority to review the electoral process, he claimed that once the initial "process is over, it is contingent."
