EFCC arrests 80 POS vendors in Ondo

More than 80 point-of-sale (PoS) vendors in Acre, capital of Ondo state, have been arrested by officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on suspicion of buying and selling money to people of higher interest.



It turns out that PoS operators have been forced to disclose the origin of the cash used in their stores.
Some of his PoS agents admitted to buying cash from banks and then began charging exorbitant fees to their customers, according to sources.

According to an official, "About 80 PoS attendants in the Orochi-Oba area have been arrested. When they come to you, they will ask you to provide your customer with the source of your cash and the amount billed. “Some of the PoS employees who were informed in advance left the stand and fled.

“A PoS agent was here serving a customer when a lady came in and asked for a bill per 1,000 Naira.”
