The Joint Admissions and Enrollment Commission (JAMB) announced Monday that the registration process for the Direct Entry (DE) 2023 exam will resume.
The Board also announced new guidelines on the registration process.
Professor Is-haq Oloyede, his JAMB registrar, announced at a briefing in Abuja on Monday that he said DE registration will end on April 28, 2023.
The board announced on February 21 that it was suspending the registration process in order to take specific steps designed to better serve potential candidates.
Oloyede, lamenting the advanced forgery of he A-level certificates used for enrollment, told reporters on Monday that he had introduced a new policy to checkmate such conduct. He said:
“For example, it has been found that in the past few years some candidates registered for direct admission using unacceptable fake high school diplomas/credentials and were eventually admitted. For example, Of the 148 candidates verified by BUK, only 6 turned out to be genuine, and 142 of the results were tacitly falsified.
“The Board, affected stakeholders and institutions are working tirelessly to identify and those already discovered will be dealt with in accordance with the law.
“In order to further checkmate anomalies and prevent the recurrence of such anomalies, the Board decided not only to keep DE registration for 2023 confined to JAMB (Professional Testing Center (PTC)), but also to ensure strict oversight. I decided to do the following. “The Board has provided additional guidance to all DE registrars (centers owned by JAMB), Board members, and candidates for the 2023 Direct Entry Registration Exercise.
