Labour threatens to shut down CBN due to a lack of cash

 The Nigerian Labor Conference (NLC) on Wednesday announced it would close the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) after it failed to provide cash to Nigerians, causing immense hardship to its citizens.



NLC has already instructed all affiliates to begin mobilizing to fully comply with the proposed Apex Bank closure.


He also ordered workers to stay home and stockpile necessary food during industrial action starting next Wednesday.


NLC Comrade Chairman Joe Ajaero briefed journalists in Abuja at the end of the meeting of the Central Working Committee, CWC and said his 7 given to the federal government to make cash available to the people In reviewing the ultimatum of the day, he said:


Comrade Ajaero urged Nigerians to endure his NLC, which aims to alleviate the suffering Nigerians are experiencing as a result of the currency crisis.


"It will be physically present in all CBN offices nationwide," he said.
